1.Project Officer — Child Protection Tororo Butaleja Cluster — World Vision

World Vision Uganda (WVU) is a Christian relief, development and advocacy non-government organization dedicated to working with children, families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice. We currently work in 43 districts and have 48 Area Programmes implementing projects in health & nutrition, water, sanitation & hygiene (WASH), livelihoods & resilience, education and child protection. The purpose of this job is to timely and quality implementation of Child Protection (CP) interventions within the cluster/AP. Engagement will be at household, community, village, parish, sub-county and district levels. This role requires the staff to have good communication abilities, networking and collaboration abilities, training abilities for communities especially children. Core to the role are skills to raise awareness for prevention and response to child rights violations and ability to link affected children to services in time and documentation of on the ground experiences and emerging issues in child protection. 3. EAC Jobs — Procurement Officer — Lake Victoria Fisheries Organization (LVFO)

Lake Victoria Fisheries Organization (LVFO) is an institution of the East African Community (EAC) charged with the management and development of fisheries and aquaculture. It was formed by a Convention in 1994 with major amendments in 2016. It is accommodated under Article 9.3 of EAC Treaty and registered as a Regional Fisheries Management Organization (RFMO) under the FAO UN Charter CAP 102. The overall objective of the LVFO is to promote sustainable management and development of the fisheries and aquaculture in order to contribute to food security and economic growth in the EAC region. The 2016 amendment to the Convention that established LVFO expanded her mandate and scope to cover among others issues of fish quality, trade, and marketing. In addition, as EAC Partner States submit their instruments of accession to the Repository (FAO) and join the Organization, the number of main stream and project staff increases. Against this background, LVFO Secretariat is seeking to recruit competent staff for the position of Procurement Officer to strengthen the Organization, to deliver on her mandate.

The Logistics Coordinators are responsible to perform overall area coordination and implement delegated authority in logistic systems and procedures. Responsible to coordinate area logistics operations planning and management of logistic activities. Plan and deliver a variety of procurement or other logistics related activities, including deployment and distribution, asset management, monitoring/checks, area logistics strategic planning, fleet management, stores management and reporting for the specific assigned Area. Contribute to strategies for efficient and effective running of Area Logistics and ICT. The purpose of the position is to oversee and implement NRC’s logistics systems and procedures in the West Nile area. The position is based in the area office in Arua with frequent travels to all related field locations within the area of assignment (Yumbe, Rhino/Imvepi and Adjumani for the moment)
